Hero MotoCorp Shares Fall 5% on Weak October Domestic Sales
Hero MotoCorp, a big company that makes motorcycles and scooters, saw its stock price drop by 5%.
This happened because the number of vehicles they sold in India during October was lower than expected.
Even though they sold more vehicles overseas, the dip in domestic sales caused the stock to reach its lowest point in six weeks.
The company also recently expanded into new European countries like Italy, Spain, and the UK.
Despite this setback, Hero MotoCorp remains optimistic about future growth.
Hero MotoCorp shares dropped 5% to a six-week low of ₹5,258.
The decline was triggered by a reported 8% year-on-year drop in domestic wholesale volumes for October.
Overall sales for October, including exports, decreased by 3% to 6,35,808 units.
Exports showed strong growth, rising to 30,979 units from 21,688 units in the previous year.
The company expanded its global presence by entering key European markets, including Italy, Spain, and the UK.
