Sunny Leone’s Jism 2 Casting Sparks Cultural Debate
Sunny Leone, who used to work in adult films, was chosen to act in a Bollywood movie called Jism 2.
A famous director, Mahesh Bhatt, said he met her on a reality TV show and thought she could act.
The movie made a lot of money at first, but people expected a different kind of film.
Some critics said the audience didn’t like the change.
Later, Sunny acted in a serious movie that was shown at the Cannes Film Festival, showing she could do more than just adult roles.
Mahesh Bhatt explains how Sunny Leone was cast in Jism 2 after her stint on Bigg Boss 5.
The film’s box office success was driven by initial curiosity, but critics say it underperformed due to mismatched audience expectations.
Mahesh Bhatt argues that distributors were skeptical of Sunny’s transition from adult star to mainstream actress.
Pooja Bhatt had originally wanted to cast Sunny in the first Jism but was blocked by her Penthouse contract.
Sunny Leone later gained respect with Anurag Kashyap’s film Kennedy, which premiered at Cannes.
