PM Modi Outlines Agricultural Boost, Farmers' Support
India is helping farmers and improving farming.
A new plan, the PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana, will give extra support to farmers in 100 less developed farming areas.
This plan, which starts this year and will last six years, is designed to help farmers grow more food and earn more money.
The government also helps farmers with money through the PM Kisan scheme, which started in 2019.
Last year, Indian farmers grew a record amount of food, and the government is aiming to break this record again.
India is already a top producer of milk, pulses, and jute, showing strong progress in farming.
PM Modi announced the PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana to boost farming in 100 backward districts.
The scheme, approved for six years, aims to increase agricultural productivity and farmers' income.
The government aims for record food grain production of 354.64 MT in the 2025-26 crop year.
