Punjab to Open Healthcare Clinics in Jails
The Punjab government is opening clinics inside its jails.
These clinics, called Aam Aadmi Clinics, will give inmates free medical care, like checkups and medicine.
They will also help with mental health, as many inmates may have mental problems.
The goal is to make sure people are healthy in both their bodies and minds when they leave jail.
These new clinics are part of a larger plan to improve healthcare across Punjab.
Punjab government will establish Aam Aadmi Clinics in central jails.
Clinics will offer comprehensive healthcare, including mental health support.
Psychologists and psychiatrists will provide counseling to inmates.
Expansion builds on the success of existing Aam Aadmi Clinics.
Existing clinics provide free treatment and diagnostic tests to many people.
