Chiranjeevi Recalled Doubts About Juhi Chawla’s Casting Before Pratibandh

Chiranjeevi once said he was unsure whether Juhi Chawla was right for Pratibandh.

He had seen her playing a cheerful teenage girl in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.

The team needed someone with an innocent and sympathetic face for the role of Shanti.

After seeing Juhi’s photograph in the film’s look, they decided to try her.

Juhi accepted the role.

Chiranjeevi later said she performed very well.

He especially remembered her work in a court scene and a scene near a jail.

Pratibandh was released in 1990.

It was directed by Ravi Raja Pinisetty and became commercially successful.
