10th-Century Shivling Unearthed from Jhelum River

Workers found a very old stone carving called a Shivling in the Jhelum River.

It's from around the year 1000!

The workers were taking sand from the river when they found it.

The Indian Army helped keep it safe, and now the government has it.

The Shivling is on display for everyone to see at a museum in Srinagar.

It helps us learn about the history of the area.
