India, US Sign 10-Year Defense Partnership Framework
India and the United States have agreed to work together much more closely on defense for the next 10 years.
They signed a special plan, like a roadmap, to help their militaries cooperate better.
This new agreement is meant to make their defense partnership stronger and clearer.
It will help them share more information and work together on new technology.
This partnership is seen as very important for keeping the Indo-Pacific region safe and stable.
Even though there have been some disagreements about trade tariffs, this defense agreement shows that their military ties are still strong and growing.
Both countries have been building up their defense relationship for years with various agreements and joint exercises.
India and the United States signed a new 10-year defense partnership framework to deepen cooperation.
The framework was signed by Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This pact aims to provide a unified vision and policy direction for defense cooperation over the next decade.
Both nations view the partnership as crucial for regional stability and a free, open, and rules-based Indo-Pacific.
The agreement was signed despite ongoing tensions between the two countries over tariffs.
