Bhiwandi Crematorium Families Face Shortages of Essential Facilities

Families visiting Kapali Hindu Crematorium in Bhiwandi say they cannot always find basic things they need.

They may have to bring water from outside for funeral rituals.

Firewood for cremation is also not available at the site, so relatives must buy it elsewhere.

Residents say the toilet is dirty, damaged and does not get a regular water supply.

They also say the crematorium and its shed need more cleaning.

The entrance gate was removed during road work and has not been put back.

Some families reportedly travel about three kilometres to the Gauripada crematorium instead.

Residents have asked the city administration to fix these problems.

Civic officials said the concerns would be addressed and facilities arranged.
