Sikkim minister inspects glass skywalk work near Singshore Bridge
In the mountains of Sikkim, a big new tourist attraction is being built.
It is called a glass-deck skywalk near the Singshore Bridge.
The skywalk will have a floor made of glass, so people can look down at the forests and streams below.
A government minister named Tshering T. Bhutia went to check on the building work.
He told the workers to build it faster but still do a good job.
The bridge is one of the highest suspension bridges in Asia.
People come there to see snow-capped mountains and green forests.
The government hopes the skywalk will bring more visitors and adventure lovers.
They are also planning to add bungee jumping at the bridge.
The first glass-bottom skywalk in Sikkim was built at Pelling.
Sikkim tourism minister Tshering T. Bhutia inspected the glass-deck skywalk project near Singshore Bridge in Gyalshing district.
The project site is around 140km from Gangtok at an elevation of more than 6,500 feet.
The skywalk is funded by the Union ministry of development of the north eastern region (DoNER) under the PM-DevINE scheme.
Singshore Bridge, located between Dentam and Uttarey, is considered one of the highest suspension bridges in Asia.
The project aims to add a transparent glass-floored skywalk and bungee-jumping facilities to boost adventure tourism.
