IndusInd Bank Promoter and Invesco Form Joint Venture for Asset Management
Two big companies, IndusInd International Holdings (IIHL) from India and Invesco from overseas, have officially joined forces to manage investments for people in India.
IIHL now owns the biggest part of their shared company, 60%, and Invesco owns the other 40%.
This joint company is already one of the largest money managers in India, handling about 1.48 lakh crore rupees.
The partnership plans to use Invesco's international experience and IIHL's vast network of over 11,000 locations and 45 million customers to reach more people.
They especially want to grow their business in smaller towns and cities across India.
The company will keep its current manager, Saurabh Nanavati, in charge.
Both companies believe this is a great time to invest in India because more people are earning more money and the country has a young population, creating many investment opportunities.
IndusInd Bank promoter IIHL and Invesco have completed their joint venture for an asset management company (AMC) in India.
IIHL acquired a 60% ownership stake in Invesco Asset Management India, with Invesco retaining the remaining 40%.
The JV is the 16th largest domestic asset manager in India, with ₹1.48 lakh crore in assets under management as of September-end.
Invesco will contribute global investment expertise, while IIHL will leverage its extensive distribution network to expand reach, particularly in tier-2 and tier-3 cities.
The joint venture aims to strengthen its presence through GIFT City, SIFs, Passive Products, and Digital channels, operating under CEO Saurabh Nanavati.
