Hapur Inspection Finds Widespread Industrial Pollution Violations

Hapur Inspection Finds Widespread Industrial Pollution Violations

Officials inspected factories in Hapur to check whether they were following pollution rules.

They examined 22 industrial units during the inspection drive.

Sixteen units were found to have problems.

Some factories released visible smoke or had broken pollution-control equipment.

Others had faulty monitoring systems or missing emissions reports.

One unit used a wood-fired furnace with hazardous sludge.

Another operated without the required pollution-control systems.

These two units were sealed.

Officials also issued 12 show-cause notices and plan further action against two units that refused entry.
