Delhi-Panipat-Karnal RRTS Project Not Yet Approved
Imagine a fast train system called RRTS connecting Delhi, Panipat, and Karnal.
Right now, the government hasn't officially approved this project.
A minister said this in response to a question in Parliament.
The Delhi government has already given some money to start preparing for the project.
The company in charge of building these trains has sent in a plan.
Since building these trains costs a lot, the government will carefully review the plan before making any decisions.
The Delhi-Panipat-Karnal RRTS corridor is not yet a sanctioned project by the Indian government.
Tokhan Sahu, Minister of State in the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, confirmed this in the Lok Sabha.
The information was provided in response to a query from Lok Sabha MP Satpal Brahamachari.
The Delhi government has released Rs 50 crore for pre-construction activities.
The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) is the implementing agency and has submitted the proposal.
