Kolkata Metro Orange Line Work Resumes
The Kolkata Metro's Orange Line project, which had been stopped for over a year, is about to start again.
The police have made a new plan to redirect traffic so that the metro construction can happen.
This plan will be tested during busy times of the day, like morning and evening.
The actual construction will happen at night, but the trial is during the day to help the police get used to the new traffic plan.
The goal is to build three big parts of the metro near Chingrighata on the EM Bypass.
Construction of the Kolkata Metro Orange Line resumes after a year-long stall.
Traffic diversions planned during peak hours (8 am-11:30 am, 5 pm-8:30 pm) for metro construction.
Actual construction will occur between midnight and 5 am.
Diversion trial aims to help traffic police manage the new traffic flow.
