Telangana High Court Orders 90-Day Notice for Movie Ticket Hikes
The Telangana High Court has made a new rule that says movie ticket prices can only be increased if the change is announced at least 90 days before the movie comes out.
This rule is to stop sudden price hikes that people don't like.
Now, movies like The Paradise and Peddi, which are coming out soon, can't have their ticket prices raised because they don't have enough time to announce the change.
Movie makers might have to delay their releases or accept lower earnings.
The court also issued a contempt notice to the police commissioner for not following this rule.
Other movies planned for later in the year will also need to plan carefully to follow this new rule.
Telangana High Court mandates 90-day prior notice for any movie ticket price hikes.
Affected films include The Paradise, Peddi, Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Aadarsha Kutumbam, and Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu.
Producers may need to postpone releases or forgo ticket price hikes to comply with the new rule.
The court issued a contempt notice to the city police commissioner for issuing ticket price hike memos without the required 90-day notice.
The ruling aims to prevent last-minute price hikes and ensure transparency in the ticket pricing process.
