Karnataka Leadership Row: Siddaramaiah vs Shivakumar
There is a big discussion in the Congress party in Karnataka about who should be the next Chief Minister.
One MLA, Iqbal Hussain, said that DK Shivakumar, who is currently the Deputy Chief Minister, will become the Chief Minister by January 6 or 9, 2026.
He believes this because some sages told him so.
On the other hand, Minister Byrathi Suresh supports the current Chief Minister, Siddaramaiah, and says he is very honest and has done a lot for Karnataka.
There is also talk about another leader, Parameshwara, who some people want to become the Chief Minister.
The Congress high command will decide who will be the next Chief Minister.
They should make this decision before the budget preparation starts in February 2024.
Siddaramaiah has said he will present the budget next year and continue in office.
Shivakumar has also said that he and Siddaramaiah have an agreement with the high command.
