Food Safety Inspection Finds Violations At Indore Sayaji Hotel

Food inspectors checked the kitchen of Sayaji Hotel in Indore.

They said some food did not have important labels such as manufacturing and expiry dates.

Vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods were reportedly stored together.

The inspectors also found food kept on floors and storage temperatures that were not correct.

They reported seeing mouldy peanuts, rotten vegetables, cockroaches and rat droppings.

Some bakery and sweet-making activities were reportedly not covered by the hotel’s licence.

Officials collected food samples for laboratory testing.

They said the hotel could face further action, including possible licence suspension, depending on the investigation.
