Juniper Green Energy Launches 60 MWh BESS in Rajasthan
Juniper Green Energy has started a big battery project in Rajasthan.
They have finished 60 out of 100 megawatt-hours of a battery storage system.
This helps the electricity grid work better by storing energy and using it when needed.
The company got permission to start this project, and the rest of the battery will be ready soon.
They also have another big battery project coming up in Fatehgarh.
The CEO says this is important for making the grid more reliable and for using renewable energy better.
The company plans to do more of these projects in the future.
Juniper Green Energy commissioned 60 MWh of a 100 MWh merchant BESS in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The project received approval from the Northern Regional Load Despatch Centre (NRLDC) and began commercial operations on December 24, 2025.
The remaining 40 MWh capacity is expected to be commissioned shortly, making it one of the largest BESS in India.
Juniper Green Energy has an additional 400 MWh BESS project in Fatehgarh, Rajasthan, set to be commissioned by Q1 2026.
The company plans to deploy BESS across all its solar project sites connected to the ISTS grid.
