YSRC Protests Unpaid Honorariums, Alleges Discrimination
Leaders from a political party called YSRC gathered to protest because people elected by their party aren't getting paid.
They say this is unfair and that the Chief Minister and another minister are picking favorites.
The protesters gave a letter to an official explaining that they haven't received their payments since the new government started, even though they were promised more money.
They also mentioned that some of their party members have been attacked, and one even died.
YSRC activists protested in Vijayawada demanding the release of honorariums for local body representatives.
YSRC leaders allege that the Chief Minister and Education Minister are discriminating against areas with YSRC elected representatives.
A memorandum was submitted to the Panchayat Raj deputy director highlighting the non-payment of honorariums.
Protesters claim no honorarium payments have been made since the NDA coalition government took office.
