Gulmarg Gondola Reopens After Maintenance
The Gulmarg Gondola, a famous cable car in Kashmir, is back up and running after some maintenance!
The cable car is super high up and takes people up the mountain.
It's like a big elevator in the sky, carrying lots of people at once.
The workers checked everything to make sure it's safe.
The gondola is a big attraction, especially for people who love adventure.
It has two stages, the first takes you to a point on the mountain, and the second takes you even higher.
This project was built by the government and a French company.
They stop the Gondola every year to ensure everything works smoothly.
Gulmarg Gondola resumed commercial operations after maintenance and safety checks.
Operations were suspended from September 22 to September 29 for annual inspection.
The ropeway project is a joint venture between the Jammu and Kashmir government and a French firm.
The gondola can transport about 600 people per hour.
The second stage of the ropeway was completed in about two years.
