Jitendra Singh Urges Traditional Knowledge Integration With Modern Science

Jitendra Singh said India should connect its traditional knowledge with modern science and medicine.

He made the statement while visiting the Traditional Knowledge Digital Library in New Delhi.

The library records knowledge from systems such as Ayurveda and other indigenous traditions.

Singh wants universities and medical institutions to work more closely with the library.

He suggested that postgraduate medical students could study this subject with guidance from different institutions.

He also wants young researchers to learn about traditional knowledge and how it is protected.

The library uses organised data and common terms so patent examiners can search the information.

Its resources are available in several languages.

The goal is to help traditional knowledge support more research and innovation.
