Edwards, Van der Merwe Lead Netherlands Surge in ODI Rankings
The International Cricket Council, or ICC, keeps a big list that shows which cricket players in the world are the best.
When a player does really well in a match, they move up on that list, like moving up on a leaderboard in a video game.
Recently, teams from the Netherlands, Nepal, and Namibia played against each other in a competition called the Cricket World Cup League 2.
The Netherlands beat Nepal by 57 runs in a game played in Utrecht.
Because they played so well, many of their players moved up in the rankings.
Scott Edwards, the captain of the Netherlands team, scored 57 runs and moved up four places.
Two of his teammates, Roelof van der Merwe and Logan van Beek, also moved up after taking wickets.
Players from Nepal and Namibia moved up too.
The Netherlands is now on course to reach the ICC World Cup Qualifier tournament.
The latest ICC Men's ODI rankings were released on Wednesday after the League 2 tri-series.
Netherlands captain Scott Edwards climbed four places to joint 34th in the batting rankings after scoring 57 against Nepal.
Dutch bowlers Roelof van der Merwe (up 11 to joint 63rd) and Logan van Beek (up 3 to 76th) rose after taking two wickets each.
Nepal's Karan KC jumped seven places to joint 83rd in bowling, while Aasif Sheikh moved up two places to 76th in batting.
Namibia's Jan Frylinck made the biggest leap of the update, climbing 16 places to joint 90th in the batting rankings.
