Noel Tata Outlines Education and Healthcare Investments by Tata Trusts

Noel Tata spoke about how Tata Trusts plans to support education and healthcare in India.

The trusts have agreed to put ₹250 crore into an undergraduate institution with IIM Bangalore.

They plan to invest another ₹250 crore there three years later.

The first group of students has already started, with 80 students.

Tata said children need strong learning foundations in primary school.

He also said the trusts are considering ways to help primary education.

Tata Trusts plans to create 40 to 50 not-for-profit general hospitals.

These hospitals would use payments from wealthier patients to help pay for care for people with less money.

Tata said India also needs more high-quality colleges and universities.
