Fuel Prices Steady as Brent Falls Amid US‑Iran Tensions
On July 30, the price of petrol and diesel in India stayed the same as the last time they were changed.
The price of oil in the world went down a little because of fighting between the U.S. and Iran.
The U.S. military said it hit Iran again after Iran tried to attack U.S. forces.
The U.S. and Saudi Arabia also attacked Iranian fighters in Iraq.
Because of all this, the price of oil in the world went up a lot earlier in the week but then fell a bit.
This shows how wars can change how much oil costs.
Even though oil prices changed, the people in India did not see a change in the price of their fuel.
The U.S. said the new attacks were a strong reply to the attack that happened yesterday.
Indian retail petrol and diesel prices remained largely unchanged on 30 July, following the 25 July adjustment.
Brent crude fell to about $87.30 a barrel, down 1% after earlier gains amid the U.S‑Iran conflict.
U.S. Central Command announced new strikes on Iran, calling them a "powerful response" to an attempted Iranian attack.
The U.S. and Saudi Arabia targeted Iran‑backed militias in Iraq, killing at least 20 fighters and six Iranian advisers.
Global oil markets saw a 7.9% rise in Brent earlier in the week before the recent decline.
