Rupee Falls to 90.29, Stocks Decline
The Indian stock market had a bad day on Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Sensex and Nifty both went down.
The Rupee also got a little weaker, reaching 90.29 per dollar.
Some stocks like Eternal and ICICI Bank did well, but others like Trent and Reliance didn't.
The Rupee got weaker because of things like higher oil prices and money leaving the country.
Over 220 stocks hit their lowest prices in a year.
The Rupee's fall is part of normal market ups and downs, but it's still a concern for some people.
The Sensex fell 250.48 points (0.30%) to 83,627.69, and the Nifty dropped 57.95 points (0.22%) to 25,732.30.
The Rupee settled at 90.29 per dollar, down 6 paise from the previous close.
Selling pressure was seen in auto, consumer durables, pharma, and realty stocks.
Over 220 stocks hit their 52-week low on the BSE, including Dixon Technologies and ITC.
Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) have sold over Rs 15,000 crore worth of Indian stocks in January.
