Japanese Delegation Studies Uttar Pradesh Women’s Safety Helpline Model

A Japanese group visited a women’s safety helpline in Uttar Pradesh.

The helpline is called Women Power Line 1090.

It helps women who feel afraid, stressed or harassed.

Trained staff listen carefully and connect callers with counselling or other support.

The visitors learned how the service receives and handles complaints.

Officials also discussed teaching children about safety from a young age.

Japan and Uttar Pradesh shared ideas about helping women feel more confident and secure.

They agreed that useful safety ideas should be adapted to fit local conditions.
