RRB Station Master Recruitment 2026 Introduces One CBT
The Railway Recruitment Board has announced a new way to select Station Masters in 2026.
These jobs will be recruited separately from other NTPC railway jobs.
Candidates will take one computer test instead of two.
That test will last two hours and include English reading, maths, science, data questions and reasoning.
Wrong answers will lose one-third of a mark.
People who pass the first test will take an aptitude test and then have their documents and health checked.
The final ranking will use both test scores, with the first test counting more.
The new test gives more time than the earlier 90-minute exam.
The Railway Recruitment Board will recruit Station Masters separately from other NTPC posts through a dedicated notification.
The revised process has four stages: one CBT, a Computer-Based Aptitude Test, document verification and a medical examination.
The CBT will have 100 marks, last 120 minutes and deduct one-third mark for each incorrect answer.
The new syllabus adds English reading comprehension and allocates 30 marks each to Mathematics and Basic Science and to Data Analysis and Interpretation.
The Logical Capability and Mental Reasoning sections carry 20 marks each; final merit combines CBT marks at 70% and CBAT marks at 30%.
