Fadnavis Targets 70 Km of Mumbai Metro Corridors in 2027

Mumbai is building more metro lines and roads.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis wants at least 70 kilometres of metro corridors completed in 2027.

He also asked officials to increase the work expected by the end of 2026 from 36 kilometres to 50 kilometres.

He wants machines used for at least half of infrastructure work, while making sure skilled workers are available.

Some Metro Line 2B work near Juhu Circle may need a special 12-hour road closure on a Sunday.

Officials were told to keep inconvenience to people as low as possible.

The Sewri-Worli elevated road connection is supposed to be ready by May 31, 2027.

Authorities were also asked to tackle traffic and make information about underground utilities easier to find.
