NCP Workers Burn Harshvardhan Sapkal's Effigy Over Sunetra Pawar Remarks
Some people who work for a political party called the NCP were upset.
They heard that a leader from another party, the Congress, said mean things about Sunetra Pawar.
Sunetra Pawar is a very important leader in the state of Maharashtra.
The NCP workers decided to protest in a city called Beed.
They made a doll, called an effigy, that looked like the Congress leader Harshvardhan Sapkal and burned it.
They also hit his picture with their shoes to show they were angry.
The workers shouted words of support for Sunetra Pawar and the NCP.
They asked the Congress party to punish their own leader for his words.
Similar protests happened in a few other towns as well.
The protests stayed peaceful and no one was hurt.
NCP workers in Beed burned an effigy of Maharashtra Congress president Harshvardhan Sapkal over his alleged remarks against Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar.

The protest was staged at Bashirganj Chowk under the leadership of NCP leader Shaikh Mujib, with supporters of MLA Vijaysinh Pandit participating.
Demonstrators demanded that the Congress high command take immediate disciplinary action against Sapkal and expel him from the party.
Similar peaceful protests were also held in Parli Vaijnath, Georai and Majalgaon, and the Congress had not issued an immediate response at the time of filing the report.
