HDFC Bank Shares Rise as CEO Selection Process Advances

HDFC Bank’s share price went up after its board moved faster on choosing its next leader.

Morgan Stanley still thinks the shares could reach Rs 1,025.

Several other financial firms also gave their own target prices, ranging from Rs 880 to Rs 1,025.

These different targets show that analysts do not all value the bank in exactly the same way.

Morgan Stanley said finishing the selection soon could help investors pay more attention to the bank’s business performance.

Jagdishan has worked at HDFC Bank since 1996.

He became managing director and CEO in October 2020.

During his first term, he oversaw the merger of HDFC with HDFC Bank.
