Henrie Says 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place' Finale Misunderstood, Alex Alive
Imagine a TV show about a family with magical powers.
That show is called 'Wizards of Waverly Place.'
Now there is a newer show about the same family called 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place.'
At the end of the second season, a character named Alex jumped into a magic portal to fight a bad guy named Lord Morsus.
Some people watched that part out of context and thought Alex died.
David Henrie, one of the actors, says that is not true.
He says Alex was just pulled into a strange empty space, not killed.
The show is finishing with one short final season of four episodes.
In it, Alex's daughter Billie will try to rescue her mother by finding her long-lost father.
By the end, fans will finally learn what really happened to Alex.
David Henrie says the 'Wizards Beyond Waverly Place' Season 2 finale was 'misunderstood' and that Alex Russo was not killed.
The Disney spinoff will end with a shortened four-episode third season.
In the Season 2 cliffhanger, Alex jumped into a portal to defeat evil Lord Morsus, which fans interpreted as a sacrifice.
Henrie teased that the final season will 'learn about' what happened to Alex, saying she was sucked into a void, not killed.
Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) must reunite with her long-lost father so the Russos' combined power can defeat the evil plaguing them.
