Dr Reddy’s Q1FY26: Profit Marginally Up Despite Revenue Rise
Dr. Reddy's, a big pharmaceutical company, made a little more money this past quarter than last year.
Their sales went up, but their profits didn't grow as much as experts thought they would.
This is because they had to lower the prices of some of their medicines and faced tough competition in America, where they sell a lot of products.
The company's boss said they did well with their name-brand medicines and a product to help people stop smoking, but they are worried that prices for one of their drugs will go down.
They plan to keep working hard and coming up with new products.
Dr. Reddy's Q1FY26 profit rose 1% to ₹1,409 crore.
Revenue for Q1FY26 increased 11% to ₹8,545 crore.
The profit was below analysts' estimates of ₹1,494 crore.
The company faced pricing pressure and competition in North America.
Revenue from North America, Dr. Reddy’s biggest market, fell 11.3%.
