Mona Singh Joins Kohrra 2 as Inspector Dhanwant Kaur

Mona Singh, who recently starred in Border 2 and Bads of Bollywood, is joining the second season of the Netflix series Kohrra.

She will play Inspector Dhanwant Kaur, a police officer investigating a murder while dealing with her own personal struggles.

The role is challenging because it involves portraying a woman in a male-dominated profession who is also dealing with personal loss.

The director, Sudip Sharma, wanted to show the story from a female perspective, highlighting the difficulties women face in such roles.

Mona Singh found the character complex and emotionally demanding, and she prepared by reading a book and attending intense workshops.

The show also aims to depict Punjab in a more nuanced way, showing both its modernity and tradition.
