Punjab Police Raid Farmer Leaders' Homes Ahead of Rail Roko
The Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) planned a two-hour rail blockade in Punjab to protest against a new electricity bill.
Before the protest, the Punjab Police raided the homes of farmer leaders and detained some of them.
The KMM says the bill could make the electricity board private and that the government is not letting them protest peacefully.
They asked people to join the protest and condemn the government's actions.
The protest was supposed to happen in 19 districts, but the police actions started the night before.
The Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM) planned a two-hour rail blockade in 19 districts of Punjab to protest the draft Electricity Amendment Bill, 2025.
