Centre Expedites Long-Pending Joint-User Airport Project in Adilabad

The government wants to build an airport in Adilabad that can be used by both civilian and defence aircraft.

The project has been delayed for a long time.

The Centre has appointed officials to help move the work faster.

The Airports Authority of India will build a terminal for civilian passengers.

It will also create a facility for maintaining and repairing aircraft.

Defence personnel will need housing, sports areas, and other facilities.

Water and sanitation systems will also have to be built.

Officials from the Centre and Telangana will work together on the project plan.
