Madhya Pradesh High Court Upholds Enhanced Maintenance for Wife, Son

Madhya Pradesh High Court Upholds Enhanced Maintenance for Wife, Son

A mom and her little boy live in a place called Madhya Pradesh in India.

The dad was told by a court to give them money every month to help take care of them.

At first, the court said he must pay 3,000 rupees a month for his son.

Later, a family court said he should pay 9,000 rupees a month instead.

The dad did not like this and asked a bigger court to stop it.

The bigger court is called the Madhya Pradesh High Court.

A judge named Justice Gajendra Singh looked at the case and said the dad must pay the higher amount.

The money also has to be paid from the time the mom and son first asked for it.

This is true even though the case took more than six years to finish.

The judge said the mom and son would suffer if they did not get the money, so it is not unfair to the dad.
