BRO's Project Himank Celebrates 41 Years
The Border Roads Organisation's Project Himank celebrated its 41st anniversary.
This project works in very high and cold places in Ladakh.
Over the past year, they built four new roads and 22 bridges, which help both soldiers and local people.
They also help with healthcare, safety for travelers, and clearing snow to keep roads open in winter.
This project is very important for keeping Ladakh connected and safe.
Project Himank celebrated 41 years of service in Ladakh's extreme terrain.
Completed four strategic roads totaling 161 km and 22 bridges measuring 941 metres.
Enhanced connectivity to critical sectors like Hanle, Chumar, Demchok, Hot Spring, and Daulat Beg Oldie (DBO).
Provided community welfare through medical camps, BRO Cafés, and Oxygen Support Centres.
Ensured winter connectivity with daily snow clearance at Leh Airfield and other vital routes.
