Rajasthan minister vows reservation cannot be scrapped while alive
A leader in Rajasthan named Kirodi Lal Meena spoke at a big tribal festival.
He said that reservation, which helps people from certain groups get jobs and school seats, will never be removed while he is alive.
He wanted to stop rumors that reservation might end.
He also told young tribal people to stay away from drugs and bad habits.
Mr. Meena has been fighting for his people for a long time.
He said he has taken part in about 600 protest movements and has been to jail 17 times.
He asked the Meena and Gurjar communities to be like brothers.
He also talked about getting water for Dausa from the Chambal river.

He appealed to the Meena and Gurjar communities to maintain brotherhood and move forward together.
Thousands attended the festival, which featured cultural performances by students and tribal children from Madhya Pradesh.
