Jammu Police Arrest Two, Seize Heroin, Pistol and Cash
Police in Jammu stopped a car in the Bishnah area and arrested two people.
They said the men were Sonu Kumar and Anmol Arora.
Police reported finding heroin, a pistol, cash, a weighing machine and two phones.
They also took the car.
The arrests came after a separate drug-smuggling case was uncovered in the nearby Arnia area on October 5.
Police are now trying to learn where the suspected drugs came from and where they were going.
They are also checking whether other people may be involved.
The two cases are described as separate operations.
Police arrested Sonu Kumar and Anmol Arora during a vehicle check in Bishnah, on the outskirts of Jammu.
Officers seized 22 grams of heroin, a pistol, more than Rs 1.48 lakh, a weighing machine and two mobile phones.
Police also seized the private car the two men were travelling in.
The arrests followed a separate narcotic-smuggling racket bust in the nearby Arnia sector on October 5, in which four people were arrested.
