Goa Institute Integrates Ayurveda, Yoga, Modern Care for Children
A special place in Goa called PRAYAS helps children who have problems with their brains and muscles.
They use old Indian healing methods like Ayurveda and yoga along with modern medicine.
Since it started in November 2025, it has helped many children.
One little boy who couldn't walk before can now walk on his own.
The people who run PRAYAS want to help even more children by working with special schools and making sure their methods work well.
They also want to share what they do with other places in India.
The leader of Goa, Pramod Sawant, likes this idea and wants Goa to be known for helping people feel better.
PRAYAS centre in Goa integrates Ayurveda, yoga, and modern therapies for children with neurodevelopmental and neurological disorders.
Launched in November 2025, the centre has benefited 574 patients through OPD and 176 through IPD services.
A three-year-old boy with cerebral palsy showed significant improvement, learning to walk without support.
The institute plans to collaborate with special schools in Goa to extend services to more children.
PRAYAS aims to develop standardised treatment guidelines and expand the model across India.
