Madhya Pradesh Teachers Boycott TET, Threaten School Shutdown

Madhya Pradesh Teachers Boycott TET, Threaten School Shutdown

Government teachers in Madhya Pradesh do not want to take a required Teacher Eligibility Test.

They say they already took examinations when they were hired.

They believe the new test rules were introduced after their appointments.

The teachers want to be exempted from the test.

They plan to send many emails to government officials until September 26.

They will begin an indefinite protest on September 27 and fast on October 2.

If their request is not accepted, they may stop teaching and close schools across the state.

The test is planned as an offline examination in December.
