Principal Beaten in Ambedkar Photo Dispute
On 27th January, a principal named Ashok Kumar Suryavanshi was beaten up by a group of minor boys in a school in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.
The boys accused him of tearing a photo of Ambedkar and using bad words against Dalit students.
The principal said the photo was just loose, but the boys didn't listen and beat him up.
They also stole some money from him.
The police later detained some of the boys and filed a report against them.
The school and some local groups are upset that the police took a long time to act.

Five minor attackers were detained by the police on 29th January, and an FIR was filed against seven named individuals and 25 unknown persons.
