Panvel RTO Urges Black Spot App Use During Ganeshotsav Rush
Many people will travel toward Konkan during Ganeshotsav.
This may make roads such as the Mumbai-Pune and Mumbai-Goa highways very busy.
The Panvel RTO is asking drivers to use a free safety app.
The app warns people about dangerous road sections and sharp curves.
Drivers can slow down when they receive an alert.
Everyone should follow speed limits and avoid risky overtaking.
Car passengers should wear seat belts, and motorcycle riders should wear helmets.
People should not drive after drinking or taking drugs, and tired drivers should rest before continuing.
The Panvel Regional Transport Office expects heavy traffic toward Konkan during Ganeshotsav.
Motorists are urged to use the free Black Spot RTO Panvel app for warnings about hazardous locations.
The app identifies accident-prone stretches, dangerous curves and other risks, and alerts drivers near black spots.
The RTO advised motorists to follow speed limits, avoid dangerous overtaking, wear seat belts or helmets, and never drive under the influence.
Road-safety messages are being shared through garbage collection vehicles in Panvel and 98.3 FM across the area.
