Google DeepMind Co-Founder Predicts AI Will End Remote Jobs
Shane Legg, a co-founder of Google DeepMind, thinks that artificial intelligence (AI) might make many remote jobs disappear.
He said that jobs that involve thinking and are done on computers are especially at risk.
AI tools can do these jobs as well as or even better than humans.
This could lead to companies needing fewer people, as AI can handle the work.
Legg talked about this in an interview with Professor Hannah Fry.
He believes that human intelligence is different from what machines can do, but AI is getting very good at tasks that people do remotely.
Shane Legg, co-founder of Google DeepMind, predicts AI will eliminate many remote jobs.
AI tools can match or surpass human performance in cognitive tasks.
Jobs done remotely via computers are particularly vulnerable to AI.
Companies may reduce teams as AI tools improve and take over tasks.
Legg emphasized that human intelligence is different from machine capabilities.
