Kerala probe finds serious issues over cancelled Messi visit

Lionel Messi is one of the most famous football players in the world.

He was supposed to visit a place in India called Kerala with Argentina's national football team.

But that visit never happened, and many fans were left disappointed and confused.

The state government's sports department decided to find out why the visit fell through.

People in the government had received complaints about the cancelled visit.

A special officer looked into the matter and found some serious problems.

The officer's report has now been given to the chief minister, the state's top leader, for a bigger investigation.

Messi did come to India, though — fans welcomed him in Mumbai, another big Indian city.

He was joined by his Inter Miami teammates, and former cricket star Sachin Tendulkar was there too.
