Wife Demands Ashleigh Gardner's Vice-Captaincy Removal Over Alleged Affair
Ashleigh Gardner is a very famous cricket player in Australia and one of the leaders of her team.
Her wife, Monica Wright, is very upset with her.
Wright says that Gardner had a secret romance with another player on the team, whose name is Georgia Voll.
She thinks that because of this, Gardner should lose her important job as the team's second-in-charge, called the vice-captain.
Wright is also mad at the group that runs cricket in Australia, called Cricket Australia, because it has not said anything about the problem.
Wright shared her feelings online so many people could see them.
She also posted a picture of Georgia Voll and blamed Gardner for cheating.
A newspaper called the Daily Mail wrote that the marriage ended in a bad way, but Wright said the report was not clear enough.
Right now, only one side of the story has been shared publicly.
Monica Wright, estranged wife of Australian women's cricket team vice-captain Ashleigh Gardner, has publicly demanded Gardner's removal from the role.
Wright criticized Cricket Australia for failing to address Gardner's alleged relationship with teammate Georgia Voll.
The controversy became public last month when Wright alleged that Gardner 'cheated' on her.
Wright dismissed a Daily Mail report describing the marriage's end as acrimonious, calling its framing 'vague.'
