Indian Agencies Intercept Iranian Dhow With Drugs in Arabian Sea

Indian agencies stopped a boat called Azad in the Arabian Sea.

The operation took place in Indian waters west of Lakshadweep.

Officials said the boat carried about 526 kilograms of heroin and methamphetamine.

Five Pakistani nationals who were allegedly on board were detained.

The Gujarat Marine Police later brought the boat to the Nargol coast in Gujarat.

The drugs are reportedly worth more than ₹3,000 crore on the international market.

Investigators are trying to find out where the drugs came from and where they were meant to go.

They are also looking into who may have been involved in moving them.
