Rajasthan Sarpanches Thank PM Modi for Independence Day Invitation
Some village leaders (sarpanches) from Rajasthan, near the border with another country, were invited to Delhi for India's Independence Day celebration.
They were very happy to be invited and meet the Prime Minister.
This was a special event to honor them and their work.
The government is also working on a plan called the Vibrant Village Scheme to help these border villages.
The goal is to make the villages better places to live and work, so people don't have to move away to find jobs.
The sarpanches were recognized for helping the Border Security Force (BSF) in a past operation.
Sarpanches from Rajasthan border areas were invited to the Red Fort for Independence Day.
They expressed gratitude to PM Modi and the BSF for the experience.
The invitation was part of an initiative to honor public representatives.
