Nifty Outlook: 23,000 Support Tested as Truncated Week Begins

Nifty Outlook: 23,000 Support Tested as Truncated Week Begins

The Nifty is an important measure of how Indian shares are performing.

It gained on Friday, but it has still fallen for seven weeks in a row.

The index closed at 23,140, while analysts are watching 23,000 closely.

If it falls clearly below that level, it could drop further toward 22,600-22,700.

If it rises, the area around 23,280-23,350 may make it harder to climb.

A stronger move above 23,300 or 23,600 could improve the market’s short-term picture.

Investors are also watching oil prices, interest-rate expectations and events in West Asia.

Economic reports from China, the United States and Europe may also affect the market.
