Havells Q3 Growth Driven by Cables
Havells, a company that makes home appliances and electrical goods, had a good quarter.
Their total money made (revenue) went up by 14% compared to last year.
The cables and wires part of their business did really well, growing by 32% and making up 40% of their total money.
This helped make up for the parts that didn't do as well, like lighting and Lloyd Consumer.
They also spent a lot of money (₹1,200 crore) to make more cables and wires, which will help them grow even more in the future.
The company thinks that the cables and wires part will keep growing by about 20% each year.
They also think that the problems with the Lloyd Consumer part will get better by the end of this year.
Overall, Havells is doing well and has plans to keep growing.
Havells' Q3FY26 revenue grew 14% year-on-year to ₹5,588 crore, with net profit growth at 8% to ₹300 crore.
The cables and wires segment was the top performer, contributing 40% of total revenue and growing 32% year-on-year.
Lighting and Lloyd Consumer segments underperformed, with revenue declines of 3.5% and 5.6% year-on-year, respectively.
Havells incurred ₹1,200 crore in capex in 9MFY26, primarily for expanding cables and wires capacity.
Management expects cables and wires to remain the primary growth driver, with around 20% volume growth aided by new capacity additions.
