Nainital's Metropole Hotel to Become a Parking Facility
Imagine a fancy old hotel in a beautiful place called Nainital.
This hotel, which used to be super nice and hosted important people, was left empty for many years because the owner went to another country.
The government decided to use the empty land around the hotel to help solve a big problem: not enough parking spaces.
So, the government asked if they could use the hotel's land for parking, and the people in charge said yes!
This will help make it easier for people to park their cars and make the town less crowded.
The Metropole Hotel in Nainital, declared 'enemy property,' will be used for parking.
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) approved the Uttarakhand government's request.
The hotel was built in 1880 and once belonged to the Raja of Mehmoodabad.
The property can accommodate over 1,000 vehicles and will alleviate traffic.
The hotel was designated 'enemy property' in the early 1960s after its owner migrated to Pakistan.
